Background
Around 1990 I had been sent to planting a church in Maya, we met alot of resistance with the community to accept Jesus as a personal savior. For some 4 years, I couldn't see any breakthough in what the Lord had sent me to do in the said community until when the holy spirit told me that I will transform the community through its children.
God gave me a strategy of training sunday school teachers and starting sunday school classes in our humble church which consquently grew into an infant school(Kindergarten, grade1 and 2) I had trained at Makerere university Business school in Business studies but could not practice what I had studied in such rural setting like Maya. No employment opportunities by then. By the guidance of God i ended up volunteering in our new infant school that was taking root with 12 pupils to start with.
God instilled the burden of loving and caring for the children ever since then. I got various in-service training and refresher courses for teachers and got skills in teaching the young ones. God has been so faithful through trying moments/challenges up to this time. I have seen this 'mustard seed' growing into what Hidden Treasure looks like today.
